I am Lisa Coles and I wanted to tell you about the fun I had Speed Dating in Bath, I had such a great time thatI told a lot of my friends who don't live in Bath all about speeddating. They are now looking at enjoying Speed Dating where they live.
I got very lucky speeddating - I met a real rally driver. His name was Simon and he certainly knew how to get my motor going. He may be fast on the road and gravel but I have to say he is really good at SLOW dating.

What is Speed Dating?

Speed dating, or speeddating as it is sometimes written, is a real fun, easy and safe way to meet 15 or so people in one night. You have just enough time with each person to decide whether or not you would like to see them again, and you only get put in contact with the people you want to meet who also want to meet you again - no more awkward phone calls and no having to avoid people you don't like.

What sort of people go speed dating?

Well, most people who go are professionals who want to improve their chances of meeting the right person. They're generally normal, attractive people with varied interests who normally mix with the same group of friends and work colleagues and rarely get the opportunity to meet many new people in one go.

Speed Dating is great for those who lead busy lives, don't have much time and want to meet new people in a fun, safe environment.

How did the evening work?

Upon arrival the hostesses (loads of s'es there) will give you a personalised badge with a number on it. Once the dating part of the evening begins, those with badge number one sit at table number one, those with badge number two at table number two and so on After four minutes, the hostesses ring a bell, the girls stay seated and all the guys move round one table. This continues (with a half time break) until you have met everyone there.

How do I get in touch with them?

After the event, you sign in to the website and tick each of the people that you may want to see again. You will then be able to see how many people have entered their choices, who has ticked you and see details of anyone that you match with. After you have entered your choices, you are sent an email immediately and you get a free SMS text direct to your mobile phone whenever someone matches with you.
